Mental Health First Aid
-Nearly one in five U.S. adults lives with a mental illness (44.7 million in 2016). (National Institute of Mental Health via the National Survey on Drug Use and Health and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). These are harrowing statistics, but there’s good news: You can make a dramatic positive influence, and all it takes is one day’s time.Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches how to help adolescents experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.
